A New Year, A New Start

It's that time of year again when we resolve that THIS will be the year we __________.

My resolutions this year are a little different than my previous ones. Thanks to my KTG group I was able to set more realistic and slightly broader ones.

#3 Become a Dance Instructor

Hopefully at the end of this year I will have some results for you and for me!

To beach or not to beach...

Since this week Sosuke is working really long and late hours we opted for me to meet him on his lunch break so that we could take a walk on the beach. Him being shut up indoors and staring at a computer for hours on end and me being stuck in the house waiting for phone calls for work coming in.

However after picking him up and driving for about 5 min towards the beach, we realized that the weather at the beach was going to be complete crap. So he suggested we detour and just take a walk in the park.

What started with playing on the swings ended with a quiet conversation simply sitting on a grassy knoll overlooking the baseball diamonds. It was actually a perfect time. When we are always either coming or going, or our quality time is the equivalent of sleep. We forget just how nice it is to sit with the one we love in the daylight fully awake and aware. Simply just enjoying that they are looking at you while you are looking at them. I guess in some ways it is a validification of the fact that we do indeed exist. That someone else is aware of it and treasures that existence.

Fabric Frenzy

Deciding your color palette has to be THE most complicated decision when it comes to your wedding. ( I mean after picking out THE dress of course). So today my darling Matron of Honor and I rallied and went to Joann Fabrics to find examples to match the two different color schemes that Stewshi and I have been toying with. The result definitely has me leaning more towards what I consider the "Strawberry Shortcake" look.



It just seems to mesh better with spring and my love of lace that is matching my wonderful dress :)

Whirlwind

You wait all this time to get engaged. You fret about it, worry about it, stress over it. And then when it happens it's a complete whirlwind blur. And everyday after you find yourself looking at this ring on your finger and wondering over the fact that you are now engaged. That it did indeed happen. At least, that is what happens to me. I'm kind of in awe. It feels like this momentous event came and went and all that's leftover is this ring on my finger. I suppose that is what our wedding day will be like as well. Lots of planning and craziness, all over in the blink of an eye. I guess at least when you are pregnant, and you finally go through the birth part, in the end you have something you can visibly watch grow and change.
